Screeders Lincoln Project:

The project we worked on with Adept Home Solutions is a small domestic project. In this Lincoln screed project, we laid screed onto previously insulation and underfloor heating. The project required a fast drying screed, for which we used Keracem Eco. We made sure that program time is reduced so that the floor coverings are laid quickly.

Keracem Eco

Keracem Eco creates screeds of high dimensional stability and constant moisture stability when mixed with inert materials of assorted grain size. This guarantees rapid, safe laying of ceramic tiles after 24 hours and hardwood floors only after 5 days.

It is a certified rapid drying mineral binder that allows for resilient and woods to be laid after only 5 days. Keracem Eco  has a very low volatile organic compound emission and allows for underfloor heating to be turned after only 3 days.

Using a Putzmeister M760, the Keracem Eco was mixed, site batched. It is mixed with skip and scraper which helps reduce labour effort.

Lincoln Screed Mixing Process

The sand for this project was delivered in one tonne bulk bags supplied by MKM.

  1. Half of the sand is placed in the vessel
  2. Keracem Eco, water and Adfil Fibrin 660F construction fibres are added
  3. Second half of the sand is added
  4. Mix
  5. Screed is pumped to the exact location where it is required
  6. Installers lay screed to provided datums

Construction fibres are added to reduce the occurrence of plastic shrinkage. It also prevents plastic settlement to crack in this Lincoln screed.
